Our story
A quarter-century in the making.
Village Ethiopia was founded by a small team who grew up walking these highlands — the same paths pilgrims have taken for a thousand years. We don't do bus-tour Ethiopia. We do long lunches in family compounds, dawns spent alone with priests in Lalibela, and lodges hand-picked because we know the owners by name.
